“Reservation Process for Members”

June 27, 2006

Dear Chinook Bend Members,

The resort has become increasingly busy over the last month and there is concern over the lack of reservations we have received from members. The resort must begin to institute a more robust reservation process for members as well as affiliates and public guests. This reservation process will allow the resort to keep the park full of campers as well as reduce the chances of members arriving to find sites unavailable or not in the location, they prefer.

Some members have stressed that they have guaranteed spots and/or privileges that are stipulated in their contracts. The resort understands there were agreements made that referenced “preferred” sites and boat mooring privileges under previous ownership. The resort will continue to accommodate these member preferences as long as reservations are made in advance and space is available at the time the reservation is made.  It is important to note that there are more “preferred” agreements then there are spaces in which to host the members that have them.

With that stated, it is imperative that all members make reservations at least 60 days prior to arrival, although currently we do accept reservations up to 1 year in advance. Your assistance in this matter will help improve our services to the members as well as allow the park to operate in a much more efficient manner.

Overall, the resort must continue to keep the resort profitable by booking as many sites as possible throughout the year. We all want to keep the park well maintained and upgrade the services offered year after year. Advance reservations will allow us to do just that.

In closing, the owners as well as staff would like to thank many of you for the support and encouragement offered over the last couple of months. This is truly the members’ park and through strong communication and mutual expectations, we can make it the best Home Park in the Northwest region. We feel like part of a new community that may have a few hurdles to overcome, though it will truly blossom into a strong extended family with a common goal.

  Sincerely.. John Telban and Staff
